I have lived on the Quays for 8 years now and every year I have watched the Great Manchester Swim and every year I have always said I'll do that one year. I swam in the quay for the first time last year but it was too late to enter. This year though I have started early, got myself a wetsuit and finally signed up to the event! I am certainly finding it harder to swim in open water than a pool especially due to the temperature difference.
